Soloventure
French Bulldogs
Over the years we have tried countless brands of high quality dog food. Our Frenchies are
very active and require a high caloric, high protein and high fat diet to keep up with their
nutritional needs.  We had fed Pro Plan Chicken Shredded Blend for a while but were having
to feed a large amount to keep them in show shape. Recently we have partnered with
Eukanuba's BreedSmart Partners program. We have found Eukanubas Active Performance
28/18 blend to give our Frenchies all the fuel they need to maintain strong healthy bones,
muscles, beautiful skin and coat. We do not recommend canned food for Frenchies since their
mouths are not designed like normal canines. Soft can food tends to stick and get trapped in
their teeth causing premature tooth decay, plaque and tartar build up. French Bulldogs
mouths are best suited for premium quality dry dog food.
For treats we recommend Bil Jac training treats. You can find both Pro Plan and Bil Jac treats
at your local Petsmart, Petco and or Pet Supermarket.
French Bulldogs love to chew. We
recommend natural bones, bullysticks or
cow hooves from Red Barn. Never give your
Frenchie rawhides in any form. They can
easily choke on rawhide. Rawhide is pure
fat and will cause excessive weight gain.
Stay away from any treats made in foreign
countries. By products made in the United
States only.
Here at Soloventure French Bulldogs, we are huge advocates of Probiotics. Probiotics provide the intestinal tract beneficial
enzymes and bacteria which help in the aid of digestion so that the food consumed is best utilized. Probiotics also keep the
intestinal flora strong against viruses. Stools are smaller and have less odor. We use
Digestive Enhancer by k9 Farmacy
which can be purchased at www.fedies.com along with any Red Barn product.
Omega 3 and Omega 6 help promote healthy skin and coat. Fish Oil & Flax Seed Oil are great sources of Omega 3 & Omega 6.
Soloventure French Bulldogs are given both Fish Oil and Flax Seed Oil daily. Your local Whole Foods Market can provide you
with high quality Omega products.
French Bulldogs love baby carrots and
sliced apples as treats. If you wish to give
this to your Frenchie, do so sparingly in
the beginning until their digestive tract
gets used to the new food. We start our
puppies off with baby carrots as treats
once they start teething. A fun toy at first
becomes a great treat to soothe their
gums and want to chew.
